GDI and Women Who Code Virtual Hackathons
A Couple Quick Opening Notes
Hello all! As we approach the end of year and the upcoming Fall and Winter holidays, it’s typical for “hackathon season” to start coming to an end (or a pause, at least) as many folks have a lot to do for the closing of the year. So I’m expecting I won’t be sending another one of these announcements out for a bit - however I did want to put it to everyone on this list that if anyone out there does hear about a social good hackathon that needs a signal boost, please feel free to reply and let me know! You can also always reach me on LinkedIn if you need me for anything.
One other note: please consider getting this year’s flu vaccine as soon as possible! My wife and I both caught it this year and we ran very high fevers for several days and have been sick about a week. It’s not fun, this latest flu is very nasty. Mask up if you can!
Women Who Code Hackathon for Social Good 2023
I missed sending out info on this one before it started last week, but there’s still time for you to participate in it right now, this weekend! WWC Hackathon Registration is still open, and projects must be submitted by Sunday, October 22nd.
Girl Develop It Virtual Hackathon 2023
I’ve been a supporter of GDI for a long time and had the pleasure of mentoring for them in the past, so I know GDI hackathons are great for first timers and of course especially great for women just starting out with learning to code. This one kicks off in November, so you’ve got plenty of time to register and prepare for it - or sign up to be a mentor! [GDI Hackathon Registration]
Thanks for doing all that you do. Take care and stay safe!
